In such scenarios, safety locks become crucial for protecting assets and ensuring workplace safety.



Industrial safety locks are also paramount to ensure equipment is properly de-energized during maintenance, thus avoiding hazards from unintended energization. The implementation of the industrial safety tag-out process, as outlined in Occupational Safety and Health Facilities Regulations Article 254 is crucial for safeguarding personal safety.

Employers are required to implement the following facilities upon confirming circuit isolation prior to engaging in the laying, construction, inspection, repair, painting, or other operations related to the circuit, its supporting structures, or objects in proximity to the circuit:



One, during the open circuit switch is in operation, switches for circuit isolation should be locked or labeled with "Power Transmission Prohibited," "Power off operation in progress," or monitored by assigned personnel.


Two, if after the open circuit contains power cables, power capacitors and other electric circuits, that may pose a hazard due to residual charge, proper discharge procedures should be implemented to ensure safety.


Three, after the open circuit has eliminated the residual charge through discharge, it should be inspected electrical testing equipment to confirm that it has lost power. In order to prevent the power outage circuit from mixing with other circuits, induction from other circuits, or reverse flow of other power sources.


Fourth, if the power outage operation area in the preceding paragraph is part of the power generation or substation equipment or switchyard, the power outage operation area shall be surrounded by blue ribbons or nets, and the "Power Outage Operation Area" sign shall be hung; The parts with power shall be marked in red Enclose the area with tape or netting, and hang an "Electrical Danger Zone" sign as a warning.


When power is supplied after completing the work specified in the preceding paragraph, it should be confirmed in advance that there is no risk of electric shock to the workers engaged in the work, etc., and this should be done after removing the short-circuit grounding equipment, red and blue ribbons or nets and signs.
